As I sit at my desk, staring at the screen of my laptop, I can't help but think about all the missed opportunities I've had to go on a real, exciting date. I mean, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a classic dinner and a movie, but sometimes you just want to shake things up and do something a little bit different.

So, I decided to take the advice of my friends and try something new. I grabbed my coat, stepped out into the crisp fall air, and headed out on a date that was sure to be memorable.

First things first, we decided to leave the comfort of our homes and go out into the world. There's something to be said for exploring new places and trying new things, and what better way to do that than on a date? Plus, it's always nice to get out of the house and breathe some fresh air.

Next, we decided to embrace our inner child and do something a little bit silly and playful. We put on our fanciest clothes and headed to Taco Bell for a fancy dinner. It may seem a bit unconventional, but the thought and the follow-through are really what count. Plus, it gave us a chance to let our guard down and have a good laugh together.

As the night went on, we continued to have fun and be original. We tried new things, like trying out a new restaurant in town or taking a walk through a beautiful park. It was great to experience new things together and make lasting memories.

Wow, 2020 has been crazy and that’s an understatement. Before COVID, we were planning a seamless move to our new location with no disruption to our events. Well of course life happened and our move was not so easy. That being said we are still working day and night to build the most amazing burlesque venue that we can and to bring you top notch entertainment. We are so excited to get to this next part and finally open our doors. If you have visited us before you know how small our space was, well our new space is a lot bigger. We are thankful for the size of the new space considering everything that has transpired so far. With a bigger space it has been more difficult renovation wise, but we are proud of what we have accomplished so far. We are moving full force ahead and can’t wait to open our doors just for you. Wow! Who would have thought that we would all be quarantined right now? If you would have told us last year that we would be here like this, we would have laughed. But here we are!!! We hope everyone is staying safe and practicing social distancing during this time. This unknown aspect is very scary, but at this point we can only take it one day at a time. So during this downtime we have been focused on continuing progress with our new venue….maybe some of you didn’t know that we were in the process of opening a new space?! Well shows were selling out and we needed more room, and we wanted to up our production value. So we hope we can get back to entertaining you all in the near future! What is the Boom Boom Room STL age limit.

What is the Boom Boom Room STL age limit?  We get asked this question a lot.  We are a bar, so of course to drink it is over 21.  But what about to get it.  The way we see it, people under 18 should not be in our place.  It is very mild in todays standards, however, we just do not thing children should be in there.  What about from 18 to 20.  Since we are a restaurant, and when we are serving food, we can make exceptions.  So we like it to be on the early show.  Brunch is yes.  Dinner shows in the correct situations.  Like it is a family, or a party that has an under age person, and we can identify that person so we know they are not drinking.   We have a lot at risk so we take it seriously.  But if you are in question, please ask.  We do not want a table of high school kids in the bar, but example like, if it is a family we can make exceptions.

How to plan the perfect birthday party for an adult in St. Louis?....

Yay, your birthday is coming up and you want to come up with something fun to do. 

House Party:  You could throw a house party, but that would require cleaning before the party, setting up, and then cleaning afterwards. That's not terribly bad.  But then you also have to provide food and alcohol whether you are making it yourself or through a caterer, which could be expensive, or you can ask your guests to provide the food and drink.   And we know how that goes someone is bound to bring something that no one else likes to eat or they will magically "forget" that they was suppose to bring a dish.

Restaurant Dinner:  Yummy, dinner!!!  An easy choice to be made.  Pick your favorite restaurant and make the reservation.  And then you show up.  But you can do this any night of the week, and you run into people not showing up so you can't be seated on time.  And that's no fun.

Club Hopping:  Club hopping is fun, but not suitable for everyone you want to invite.  I mean, really would Aunt Cathy really want to go to the bar with you?  And then the friends with kids who always have to leave early.  It makes for a damper in the night.  Not to mention the price you pay for a table for everyone.
